Get Your Message Out To THEO Families
Many people seem interested in marketing their businesses to our THEO families. In the past, I have happily sent out one email to spread the word but that has proven to be a poor system because people lose emails or forget after only seeing the information one time. This year, we will try a new system to see how this works. In our lobby we will have a designated spot for business cards.
I have purchased a business card box display for the table just behind the glass wall in our lobby. It is actually antique and sort of a neat piece of decoration as well as functional!
In the box are 24 slots to hold business cards. Each slot is available for rental at $3/month. Just let me know if you want to rent a spot for your business cards, and then leave a few extra business cards with me so I can make sure your box is continually full.
Who would benefit from this? Piano teachers, violin teachers, home repair businesses, real estate agents, home based businesses, i.e. I know one of our mom makes terrific homemade bagels. I am particularly interested in this being a spot for us to find other homeschoolers who provide the services we need, rather than just a run of the mill advertising spot. In general Christian homeschoolers like to support other Christian homeschoolers with their business when at all possible.
At the base of the box, is also a drawer and little pedestal. A few folks can leave their Pampered Chef magazines or Avon magazines there for a total of $6/month including a slot for their business cards. By the way, although business cards are easy to make on your computer, there are also web sites which print them for free if they can advertise their business on the back of your card!
When you buy a spot in our business card box or when you buy a yearbook advertisement, I will also send out one email to our families to remind them about your business.
You can also advertise by buying an advertisement in our yearbook.
Business card sized ads cost $30, full page ad’s are $200—although there are only three full page advertisement spots in our 81 page yearbook for 2009.
Quarter page advertisements are $60 and half page advertisements are$120.
Again, there are limited ad spots in the yearbook this year in order to maximize the impact of each ad. I have tried to price the ad’s fairly in order to reach our 360+ students and their families. I figured $1/advertisement/THEO family for a full page ad.
The business card spots are available on a first come, first served basis. Yearbook ad’s are also first come, first serve, with a final deadline of February 15th. However, I will be out marketing those yearbook ad’s this fall in order to get as much of the yearbook work done early as possible this year!
Thanks for checking out THEO
