Marci Dittmer
Marci graduated from Concordia University in Austin,
Texas, with a major in education and minors in math and theology.
Following that graduation, she continued her schooling and received a
master’s degree from the University of North Texas.
Once again, her major was education, but she chose reading as her
minor. Marci began her teaching
career at Prince of Peace Christian School where she taught fifth grade for
five years. Soon, she began
tutoring after school.
After the birth of her first daughter, Melanie, Marci was
blessed to stay at home to raise her and, eventually, her younger sister, Emily.
When Melanie and Emily each entered first grade, she began homeschooling
them, and she is now in her twelfth year of homeschooling.
Marci taught homeschool writing classes from her home for nine years.
In addition, her tutoring business continues to grow, and she now tutors
up to twenty students each semester.
