16 years homeschooling my 4 children

 

I have taught a variety of classes in a co-op since 1997 including:

 

Cooking

American History

World History

British Literature

Classics of Literature (my personal favorite)

 

Personal:

 

I have been truly blessed with the gift of family. Gary and I have been happily married for 23 years and we thoroughly enjoy our 4 children.  Kristen will be graduating with a degree in nursing from TCU this year, Lauren is a junior at OU pursuing a degree in education, Brian graduates this year from high school and hopes to attend Texas A & M in the fall, and Jason is a freshman.

 

My goal for teaching literature is to develop a love for good books (especially in those who would never choose to pick up a book), a mind to think more deeply about the author’s intent, and a platform for good writing skills. Teaching this particular class has truly been the highlight of my teaching career.
