American History for High School
Teacher: Lori Einfalt
Grades: 9 - 12
Meets: Tuesday 10:00 - 11:15
Class Description: Seeking to cover all the nuances of American History in one year is a daunting task. This course will use Bob Jones United States History for Christian Schools, Third Edition, as the primary text. By the end of the year, students will have “read their way” through the entire history of our country from a strong, Biblically-centered point of view. In class, we will seek to focus on key events and individuals that are most important for students to think about and remember by using Veritas Press cards. Making their own set of cards, students will be able to “think their way” through 30 key aspects of American History when the year is complete. Students will also do various research reports to further understand certain topics discussed. Most importantly, focus will be placed on God’s part of our American story, since He is the true author.
