Class Description: This class will teach the students basic drawing skills, allow them to taste different styles, and learn the creative process. Basic art language and definitions will be taught. Those who are accomplished artists will increase their skills. We will play with color & style in graphic art, impressionism, photography, POP, outsider art or OOAK.
Maximum number of students: 15
Cost per student (numeric only): $60 per month
Supplies that the students should bring to class: Most of these supplies can be purchased at a grocery store!
Bring to every class:

Three sketch pads:
One white paper sketch pad at least 8 1/2” x 11”
One Big Red pad or any brown paper pad (they are the cheap paper pads for young kids)
One small (5”x 7”) carry sketch pad to keep with you throughout the week.
One 8 1/2” x 11” pad of tracing paper.
Pencils.
Pencil sharpener.
Paper Mate black markers: medium tip (the most common).
Cheap watercolor set. (Not the tubes) Like a Prang set that comes in a case with circles of colors.
A #1 & #4 watercolor brush (Hobby Lobby)
A kneaded eraser (Hobby Lobby)
Self portrait photo-copied to 8 1/2” x 11” – 10 copies

We will use a camera for a class assignment. If you do not have one, a disposable camera will work just fine.
Acrylic paint: White & Black (a small tube of black and a medium tube of white)
A permanent sharp fine point marker.
Two empty oatmeal boxes & two empty soda cans (please wait until I ask for them)
List # 1 will be needed first for the first month.
There may be others supplies needed but none will be costly.
I will have samples of all these supplies at the first class so you can see what they look like.
