Class Description: We will be working through the Harold R. Jacobs textbook, "Geometry: Seeing, Doing, Understanding," 3rd Edition. I am a former high school teacher and now stay-at-home mom, so I am excited to teach such a fascinating and interactive subject, and I am eager pass on my excitement for geometry to your teens. We will spend our class time answering questions, going over homework, and learning new and fascinating lessons.

Prerequisite: Algebra I or some equivalent

Homework: Approximately three or four assignments per week

Minimum/Maximum Number of Students: 3/10

Supplies:

• "Geometry: Seeing, Doing, Understanding," 3rd Edition

  by Harold R. Jacobs.  It's available on Amazon for around $55. 

• Scientific Calculator

• Pencils

• Protractor

• Compass

• Spiral notebook with folder

• Graph Paper (some spirals come with both ruled paper and graph paper)

Cost Per Student:  $50 per month from September 2007 through May 2008 plus a $10 start up fee for teacher supplies
