American History for Jr. High
Teacher: Lori Einfalt
Grades: 7 - 8
Meets: Tuesday
Class Description: The goal of this course is to help students further come to understand and appreciate the wonderful country we live in. Using Abeka, America Land that I Love as the text, 32 key events and individuals (one per week) will be studied more in depth. The goal is that these key events and individuals will be long remembered and serve as “hooks” of reference to the students as they study American History in the future. Seeking to make history “come alive”, various historical novels will also be assigned. Most importantly, seeing God’s hand in the formation of our country will be emphasized. We are indeed, “One nation under God.”
