Pre-Algebra

Grades: 6 - 12

Class Description: This course will be taught with the intent to ease the transition from arithmetic to algebra and to lay a firm foundation on which to build strong math skills used in upper level math courses. We will be using Bob Jones Pre-Algebra for Christian Schools. It covers all beginning algebra concepts and includes geometry, statistics and graphing. Quizzes and tests will be given in class.

Prerequisites: None

Maximum number of students that you will allow to take this class: 15

Cost per student (numeric only): $50 per month

Homework: The student will be required to be prepared to cover 2 to 3 lessons each class period. Homework will be checked.

Supplies that the students should bring to class:

Bob Jones Pre-Algebra for Christian Schools current edition
Pencils, red pen
Calculator (only to be used from some work)
Binder with loose-leaf paper (all homework will be done on loose-leaf paper so it can be collected.)
Notebook for class notes and examples
Pocket folder
