Class Description:
I will present material covered in the text Total Health. This textbook presents the practical knowledge that we have about the human body and factors that affect its well-being with an emphasis on godly principles that should guide the student as they make choices that will affect their body. The author of the text discusses the consequences of all our choices, both good and bad, that will impact our health. This is a high school course which covers some “adult” topics including STDs, drugs and alcohol, but always in the context of being created in the image of God and the biblical principles which should direct our actions. There is a strong emphasis on morality, responsibility, character, and living by convictions. The students will be encouraged to discuss all areas with their parents to guide them in forming their own convictions on these important topics.

Health is no longer required by the state of
Maximum Class Size: 12 students
Homework: There is no weekly homework. The course lasts 5 days. The students are expected to listen and participate in class discussions. They will give a short presentation on a topic that interests them during the course.
Cost: $80

A notebook or folder to keep all our class notes in.
