Responsible Leadership Seminar

For 9-12th grade students

Facilitated by Terri Threadgill, this informative seminar will introduce the students to a few modern day ethical leaders in hopes of teaching them about entrepreneurship and responsible leadership.  The seminar, written by the Los Angeles Drucker Society, encourages students to hold out for responsible leadership in their mentors and in themselves by asking the students to move from theory to action.  The seminar’s timing couldn’t be better as our students face a world woefully lacking in ethical, talented leadership.

The hour and a half presentation builds a structure of information about leaders and what qualities made them successful.  Then it puts some meat on those bones by asking the students to serve others in a one-time short term service project.

Peter Drucker passed away in 2005 at the age of 95 but his influence continues to impact people in all walks of life and to expand as Drucker Societies around the globe are springing up and into action.  Their mission is to educate and promote responsible leadership.

Peter Drucker, author of 31 books, was famous for consulting the world’s largest corporations by asking five simple questions.  Come learn what those questions are and begin to apply them to your personal mission — called life.

Every high school student can benefit from learning more about Peter Drucker and his message of responsible leadership.  I am excited for THEO to pilot this program which will hopefully teach the students what cannot be learned by sitting behind a desk in a classroom!
