Easter Service Project

Hi Everyone,

Since Easter is coming up short in several weeks. One project that we have decided on is making small Easter bags for 55 children in the Collin county juvenile facility, the children range from age 11-16. We need supplies, like candy and cookies and also toiletries and small Bibles that these children can use. If you guys can bring some of these items, that we are in need of that would be wonderful. Remember no sharp items and we need enough to give to 55 kids. You can drop them off at Theo starting tomorrow. We can meet at Theo on March 6, a Thursday, @  12: 10 . Please remember that we are still doing our soda tab project also, so keep bringing them in, and tell everyone about it. Please RSVP as soon as you can so we know who is coming to the meeting. Sorry for the short notice. See you all on March 6th. Thanks.

 God Bless,

 Samuel Nehdar

Ronald McDonald House Charities Service Project

Hi Everyone,

A new project that we will be starting, is partnering up with the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and collecting soda can tabs, to raise money for those less fortunate. There will be a small box at THEO starting Feb. 20 and will stay there until March 7. Please spread the word about our new project. Below is a description about the Ronald McDonald House. Thank you Mrs. Smith for your great idea, and thank you to everyone.

God Bless,

Samuel Nehdar

Background on the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas

The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas is a temporary home-away-from-home that serves and sustains families of seriously ill or injured children receiving treatment in a Dallas hospital.

They welcome over 1,600 families each year.  While the families are here, they have a private bedroom, 3 meals per day, transportation to & from some hospitals, occasional activities for patients and families who are staying at the House, and assistance with funeral expenses when necessary. Because of the generous support of the community, a family can stay at the House and pay no more than $10 a night.

A child's life-threatening illness brings much more than worry and financial hardship; it is a family's most heart-wrenching experience.  While we cannot ease the pain sick children and their familiesʼ experience, we can help lessen their burden..  More than just a place to sleep, the Ronald McDonald House provides a warm, safe, and comfortable home for sick children and their families.

To do this, the Ronald McDonald House relies on the love, sharing and caring of hundreds of generous donors and volunteers from the Dallas community.

The tab of an aluminum can is pure aluminum unlike the rest of the can, which contains paint and other residue.  Recycling pop tabs support the operations of Ronald McDonald Houses across the country..  This popular fundraiser benefits seriously ill children by helping provide a place for them and their families to stay while they are out of town for medical treatment.
